For this reason, Ede and Drew were happy to find a way to give back to the community by joining the IFC two years ago as volunteers for the home tours, first as docents and then as guides.
Ede is excited to take on the role in the newly created position of fundraiser chair person.  Having had a long career in real estate sales on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, she has always enjoyed working with people.  Ede looks forward to assisting the IFC with continued growth and recognition in the local community and also with all whose heart resides in Puerto Vallarta.

DIRECTOR at LARGE - Holly Hunter

DIRECTOR at LARGE - Marilyn Hall

I came to Puerto Vallarta in 1974 and kept coming back with husband and family over the years. I lived in Dallas Texas and worked as a clinical social worker with the Mexican population and later was a Adjunct Professor teaching sociology and social work. At retirement my husband and I started spending a lot of time in PV culminating now in 3-4 month stays. As we became involved in the community we found the International Friendship Club and was drawn to its many activities and philanthropy.
We borrow so many wonderful things from Mexico, I feel a need to give back, so I became part of the IFC board.

DIRECTOR at LARGE - Anne-Marie Weiss-Armush

Anne Marie Weiss-Armush lived in Saudi Arabia and Syria for 11 years. Upon returning to the US, she founded a 501c3 nonprofit in Dallas / Fort Worth that linked 80,000 people through its weekly cultural bulletin.   For more than 20 years she produced multi-cultural festivals for the City of Dallas, events that drew up to 35,000 people and provided visibility to North Texas immigrants.  A former Fulbright scholar to Mexico and Spanish teacher, Anne Marie has resided in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico since 2017.  The nonprofit she founded now helps at risk and street children in Vallarta through the many projects of its Vallarta Abuelos.

PUBLICITY  - John Warren

My wife, Barbara, and I have been members of IFC since 2014 or thereabouts. Many of our good friends in PV have come from our membership in the club. We enjoy the friendship and the chance to give back to the community.
We spent our formative years in England, emigrated to Alberta, Canada in 1963 and have lived and worked in Calgary and in Lethbridge. I started and operated a personal financial planning business there.
In the years that we enjoyed travelling to far-off places, we played table tennis in Kathmandu, snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef and wandered along the Great Wall of China. Now we spend our winters in PV and summers in Alberta.
The work that IFC does changes lives and provides opportunities to many Mexicans, especially children. We are proud of the impact the club has here.
